D-RILL
D-RILL is a drill re-design project. Re-design work was done by reverse engineering over existing rechargeable drills.
During the research process, a selected drill was dissembled into parts. The dimensions of these parts were taken and pre-work was done for a new packing.
During this process, many sketches were made and the form was developed. The main idea was to differentiate the parts of the drill that do mechanical work and the parts that have a relationship with the hand.
The mechanical part of the drill is cold, metal and geometric, while the shell, which is associated with the hand, is warm, plastic and more organic.
Color coding was provided by using red details in the parts related to the hand.
Thank you.
